Sam Fortune is a hip hop connoisseur, artist, and most of all: an ambassador for the Gospel. Taking a Christocentric stand as more than a religion, but rather a way of life, Fortune aims to deliver hope to a darkened culture full of bleak and dismal messages. With an attitude that is more than ready to break some of the culture’s social norms, Sam Fortune is breaking out of the industry’s box in a powerful way. Utilizing his God given talents his greatest aspiration is to educate the youth to be who God created them to be…a.k.a THEMSELVES. With such a powerful motivation fueling the message behind Sam’s music, he aims to show kids its okay to be themselves, that it’s actually cool to do that. With no empowerment quite so strong as informing the next generation that they were made in God’s image, Fortune opens up and is entirely transparent through his music and his message with his own personal background. From his past trials and mistakes, to the pressures of his current life, his mission is to let the kids know they aren’t alone, and that someone does in fact understand them perfectly: God. Samuel Joshua Fortune was born in Brooklyn New York on September 1st and began rapping at the age of twelve. Influenced by musical legends like Micheal Jackson, Sade, and Jay Z, Sam Fortune quickly developed an ear for some of music’s different genres and styles. Sam studied at Nyack College majoring in business administration and a minor in youth ministry.
