Jinxsta JX is a recording artist from Bristol, UK, who has spent more than a decade finding his own successful path, in an increasingly crowded scene. We are all aware of Bristol’s strong musical history and Jinxsta is a direct product of that thriving city. Jinxsta’s style of music is shaped by hip hop and grime, the two constants in his life, and probably sits somewhere between the two. Once described as ‘boom brap’, it is a hybrid sound fusing the force of grime with the nuances of hip hop. That hybrid sound is probably best experienced on Jinxsta’s 2017 solo album, Thoughts In Words, which featured wide-ranging production from the likes of Hybrid Freqs, Hutch and Konchis. You can find earlier offerings in the form of his 2014 debut, the R.A.T.E Vol. 1 mixtape, which also gave him the name of his label – R.A.T.E Music - aka Rough Around The Edges. Some more notable releases include the Three Headed Beast projects, which he made alongside regular collaborator, Twizzy; together they released three projects between 2012 – 2016. His collabs with Twizzy continue, including their most recent EP, First Word Last. He has also collaborated with many other UK artists over the years, including Ramson Badbonez, Baileys Brown & Chester P.
