Biography

Based in Nashville, TN, Jimmy Wallace is a GRAMMY-nominated musician, songwriter, producer and artist. Originally hailing from Shreveport, LA, Wallace started playing his primary instrument, the piano, at age 7, with his professional career starting at age 20 as a Hammond B-3 Organ and Piano player for the Kenny Wayne Shepherd band. As a live touring musician, Wallace currently performs with 18 South , The Wallflowers alongside lead singer, Jakob Dylan , and Joe Walsh which has led to performances with Bad Company and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. When Wallace is off the road, he works as a studio session musician. Trusted by a variety of talented artists and producers, he has worked on projects for John Oates, Michael Franti, Bonnie Bishop, Trigger Hippy, Jewel, Jack Ingram, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, Jon Randall, David Z, T Bone Burnett and Steve Jordan, amongst others. As a songwriter, Wallace has had cuts with The McCrary Sisters, 18 South, Seth Walker, and Bonnie Bishop, and regularly collaborates with other writers and artists. Wallace is currently working on his next solo project, with ten years of inspiration under his belt since his last release, ‘Working for Peanuts.’ The 2010 concept album was written, recorded and produced himself, and encompasses Wallace’s vast range of tasteful style and composition inspired by pop culture and original Peanuts composer Vince Guaraldi.
