Born and bred in North London, Drafts is of mixed heritage with roots in Wales, Ireland, Jamaica and Cuba. Versatile in his sound, he enjoys a slower BPM where he can showcase his melodic vocals, while 140 BPM see's him in his element for shelling. His musical influences include early Grime such as Wiley and Skepta, merged with the new era Grime fleet including artists such as Kamakaze and Capo Lee. They also extend out to jazz, funk and soul.
