Two of the most fan-driven genres in recent memory are hip-hop and house. Ignotus merges the two together to create a sound that is equal part infectious and enthusiastic with its energy. The twenty-nine-year-old Hong Kong native grew up inspired by the likes of Diplo and Chris Lake, but was also struck by hip-hop masterminds who carefully handled each element of a record, such as Kanye West, Timbaland, Dr. Dre. When Ignotus began his career, he took a more electronic route before growing a love for the underground scene. Once he combined the drum breaks and boom-bap muses from old school rap music everything followed forth as he became a creative DJ who was unafraid to branch off into an experimental lane. He was selected as the best local DJ in Hong Kong in 2016 and a top 5 DJ in Lan Kwai Fong in 2018. His debut EP, “CHAOS,” would release the following year. As the new decade begins, Ignotus is looking to make an even bigger splash as he takes his talents from local to global!
