Imitate whirls — bored in the city, restless in the hills — born out of faltered attempts at communication, fine particles of answerlessness fill a space. An errant spell of light crowns a spiteful computer; Imitate chews at himself, recording. 
 A drummer by trade, frustrated by design… Imitate looks elsewhere, hungry, with an untrained gaze in which one can see the world reflected— the disappointments of setting are refracted and then kaleidoscopically purposed. 
 The first record, Phantasmagoria (2022) is a document of clashing influences, each abusing the other in the process of becoming; many colliding projections of personhood making fools of themselves, distorted. Frantic births occurring at an unstable rate, falling statues of past selves are overgrown with purpose before they reach the ground. 
 Phantasmagoria threads itself with the ephemera of its own process, room noise becoming riff, fragments of bacchanalia like food in the teeth. The document, in spite of itself, emerges: Phantasmagoria. 
 Born in Texas, collected flowers in California, grew teeth in New York.
