Biography

Jaydeep Sinha started his training in singing at a tender age & been training in Hindustani Classical Music under Guru Dr. Samiran Chattopadhyay who carries the lineage of the Indore Gharana. He received his training in Rabindrasangeet from Late Smt. Maya Sen. His first National Level recognition came when he won the All India Radio Music Competition in the category of singing Ghazal, in 2009. Since then he has been performing in Akashvani Kolkata. He has performed in the UK with Pandit. Biplab Mondal. He was invited to Bangladesh twice to perform Rabindrasangeet and Ghazals. Warsaw Dance Department organised an evening of Ghazal by Jaydeep in 2017. Besides Jaydeep has performed Hindustani Classical at Swarasankula, Mysore and Tete-e-Tete festival. He has performed as a lead singer in productions like Urubhangam. Association with the world of theatre itself helped him to improve his expressions & voice modulation in rendition. At present he is working independently to create a new musical language to implement in theatre. His work in ‘Macbeth Badya’ has been performed in all major Shakespeare Theatre festivals in the world and it was appreciated by legendary personalities such as Eugenio Barba and Padma Shree B. Jayashree. He also sang in a Polish play 'Strachu Nie Ma' premiered in Warsaw. Abby Films & Music has released Jaydeep’s debut Ghazal album, Itminaan repose, in 2020.
