Yung V, also known as V, is a vocalist, instrumentalist, and songwriter signed to Soul Vision Records based in Oakland, CA. Having been raised in Central California for most of her life, she finds herself in a unique position, surrounded by new and old sounds, figuring out her alternative r&b-jazz-pop sound. Her music is inspired by artists such as Empress Of, Nujabes, Mitski, Tei Shi, Solange, Tegan and Sara, and Mree. V uses her kind and gentle voice to imbue her music with meaning and often reflects on life in her songs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she released two EPs, "Ingat" and "warmth." Her first album, "Welcome Home" is now available on all streaming platforms.
