Luke-W, hailing from South & Central Auckland, New Zealand, is an emerging voice in the world of Alternative R&B. Guided by his mother, a classical pianist and music teacher, Luke-W picked up the guitar in his teens, merging early influences from Jimi Hendrix and Red Hot Chili Peppers with formative artists of his generation such as Drake, The Weeknd, PartyNextDoor, Kanye and Mac Miller. In 2016, Luke-W relocated to Bristol, UK, immersing himself in the local music scene. Living in a music studio for two years, he crafted the basis for his own sound, culminating in the release of his debut EP in December 2017. Returning to New Zealand in 2018, Luke-W signed with Move The Crowd Records (MTC) and dropped the 'Progress' EP in 2019. December 2020 marked a significant milestone with 'Timing Is Everything,' featuring the standout tracks 'True Cause' and 'Breathe' in collaboration with Smashproof rapper, Sid Diamond. His breakthrough single came from 'The Ride (Remixes),' featuring the DnB collaboration with CHEFF. In 2022, Luke-W released his first full-length project, 'Close As Ever,' supported by a nationwide tour. Dedicated to authentic storytelling and evolving artistry, Luke-W is set to release a full length project in 2025 collaborating with producer Andrew Meyer, with emotive vocal performances laid over atmospheric, moody soundscapes.
