COMMANDER SONNY BOY CURTIS: aka The Commander, an original harmonica stomp rock artist, got a band going in 2019 with drummer/guitarist John Paul Spezza, that included Jeff Dodge and his Peasant Revolution Band bassist Steve Cebula, for what would become the American Creep Van sessions. Recorded in 2019 at CATHEDRAL PARK BEAT LAB in Saint Johns, the self produced seventies/early eighties textured themes showcase the rise of Spezza, a variety of creepy concept songs and multiple instruments from Curtis, yet mostly, it was a band statement. The recordings have a live feel as the music has a lot of space; cowbell and thick forces. Also, surprise special guests are included. The recordings are being rolled out, just like a creep van, over 2020-2021.
