Sèimh: The State of Calm, the second self-penned album from Gaelic singer Gillebrìde MacMillan is a beautifully crafted album with powerful songwriting and subtle arrangements. Sèimh: The State of Calm has10 original songs by Gillebrìde and features guest singers Karen Matheson and Margaret Stewart. The album was produced by Mhairi Hall. The songs on the album deal with a range of personal, political and social issues as well as songs in praise of nature and community. Freumhan Falaichte – Hidden Roots is a sef-penned album from Gaelic singer, songmaker, poet and writer Gillebride MacMillan. Well-known for his role as Gwyllyn the Bard in Outlander, Gillebride is also one of the most celebrated Gaelic singers. All 11 tracks on this album are self-composed melodies and self-written lyrics in Gillebride’s native Gaelic. Freumhan Falaichte is a body of work that explores personal, societal and political themes, as well as Gaelic traditions and customs. Freumhan Falaichte was also produced by Mhairi Hall and showcases a fantastic line-up of musicians - including Julie Fowlis, Rosa Cedrón, Fraser Fifield, Ewan MacPherson, Natalie Haas and Donald Hay.
