A bubbling under star from Cape Town has set her heart on betting that through music she can heal, inspire and share love. Coming from a musical family, she was exposed to various music genres which impacted her sound. She's constantly exploring the roots of her musical background and infusing those melodies into the music she makes. Her passion for music lead her to write songs at the young age of 13 years old, as a high schooler, choosing music as a subject, doing open mics around Cape Town and learning how to engineer for herself and become completely independent. Gemma has been active within the South African entertainment industry as a recording and performing artist, songwriter and digital content creator. She has also performed on some of South Africa's most well-renowned stages and theatres and being part of a classical choir trained her. In 2020, Gemma released her debut single titled "Best Life” thereafter she was determined to drop more music and put it out which was when she dropped a 3 track EP “After Hours”. " Songs like “I’m Fine” and “17:28” have made waves across digital streaming platforms and commercial radio. Gemma is set to drop in the fall of 2024 and she looks forward to sharing her new music with the masses!
