Biography

VICTOR MANUEL MORALES performs as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician in the most important festivals and stages of México such as Nezahualcóyotl Concert Hall, Fine Arts Palace, National Art Museum, Arts Theater and Blas Galindo Auditorium at the National Arts Center, Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Guadalajara Cathedral... In 2009, Barcelona Clivis Publications published and distributed internationally his flute and piano transcription of the Violin Sonata no.1 by the Catalonian composer Lluís Benejam (1914-1968), included in his first album From the Edge of Time, with premiere recording pieces of Alan Hovhaness, Arvo Pärt, a.o. He made his first international tour as a pianist and organist in Spain, playing historic organs of Menorca (Sta. María de Maó, Ciutadella Cathedral, Sant Martí de Es Mercadal), Barcelona, the Tarragona Music Conservatory and culminated with a recital at the Library of Catalonia. He has played also the Cavaillé-Coll organs of L’eglise Saint Antoine des Quinze-Vints in Paris and the Saint Maurice Cathedral in Angers. His recent debut in Holland includes an organ concert in the Orgelbespelingen zomer 2017, playing the Reichner-Bätz (1780) organ at the Abdijkerk (Den Haag), and a piano recital at Pulchri Studio. He has been distinguished with a Grant on 2013, 2015 and 2016 by the National Fund for Culture and Arts for the Scenic Creators and Co-investment Programs, the most important incentive program for performance artists in México.
