Biography

Erin Morley is one of today’s most sought-after coloratura sopranos. She has stepped into the international spotlight in recent years with a string of critically acclaimed appearances in the great opera houses of the world.
Ms. Morley has brought what the New York Times has called the “silken clarity of her voice and the needlepoint precision of her coloratura” to the Metropolitan Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Opéra National de Paris, Glyndebourne Opera, Santa Fe Opera, LA Opera, Opéra de Lille, Opéra National de Lorraine, and Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain. Renowned for her musicality and deft phrasing, she has performed with some of the world’s premiere symphony orchestras, including the Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, LA Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
The 2021-22 season includes debuts for Ms. Morley at the Staatsoper Berlin (Gilda in Rigoletto), Teatro alla Scala in Milan (Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos), and Opéra National de Bordeaux (Isabelle in Robert le Diable), as well as returns to the Metropolitan Opera (title role in Matthew Aucoin’s new opera Eurydice) and Bayerische Staatsoper (Zerbinetta). Ms. Morley will also debut with the Washington Concert Opera (title role in Lakmé), and return to Glyndebourne for summer 2022 (Norina in Don Pasquale).
