SURRENDER 
 Ottawa, Canada-based synth-pop duo Surrender was formed in 2018 by multi-instrumentalist Dave Williams and vocalist Scott McCash. 
 Having played in numerous acts over the past twenty-plus years - including The Steve Adamyk Band, The Creeps, Sedatives, Black Tower, etc. - and together in Crusades for the past ten, Surrender is the pair’s first foray into more traditional pop song-craft, inspired chiefly by the synth-driven acts of the early 80s UK and the moody alt-pop groups of the 90s. 
 Their first, self-titled LP was tracked at the members’ own studio in Ottawa and features guest appearances from Jolie Lindholm ( The Darling Fire, Dashboard Confessional, The Rocking Horse Winner ) and Joseph Shabason ( The War On Drugs, Destroyer ). Surrender found a kindred spirit in collaborator Alex Gamble ( Tasseomancy, Fucked Up, Alvvays, PUP ) who produced/mixed at The Hive in Toronto. 
 Surrender’s debut LP will be released by Aztec Records ( NINA, Sunglasses Kid, Bright Light Bright Light ) in early 2020.
