Between beats and notes, Madd Rod comes up as the embodiment of the curiosity brewing within Rodrigo Pinheiro. As a DJ, Producer and Commander of Inner Shah, he defies the frontiers between music styles, blending multiple influences through simultaneously nostalgic and avant-garde aesthetics. He has already taken his music to countries such as Germany, Brazil, Greece, India, Spain, or France, gathering listeners across the world, along the way. He released his debut album, Dystopian Desert, in 2020, closing the first chapter of his career and unlocking new opportunities: fresh collaborations and remixes surfaced, and the following year, he joined Portuguese label Discotexas, finding a musical shelter within borders. Living in Berlin, he [re]discovered his identity as an artist within a retrofuturist sound and prepared his second studio album, Sad Behaviour, where he delves into a robust, punk and intimistic sound, revisiting the past with the eyes on the future. The album came out on September 29th, 2023, in both physical and digital formats, bearing the quality stamp of Discotexas.
