Biography

Reagan Riley writes and records what she knows best — her truth.

Growing up in a musical household in Charlottesville, Virginia, Riley started writing poetry when she was young. She was a shy kid, and putting her thoughts and feelings down on paper was easy for her.

She challenged herself to step into the booth when she was a teenager, and began opening her inner world to others. She loved it—and so did those who heard her silky-smooth electronic neo-soul songs. Local rappers started asking Riley to sing on their tracks, and as Riley sang hooks, she wrote her first EP, Summer Complex (2016) and her debut full-length, Grown Since (2018). And with her latest release, the four-track Glass EP, she shows no signs of slowing.

Riley’s signature dreamy, sexy, and moody sound hooks the audience on first listen and brings them closer with each play—there’s more to hear and feel in the discovery of her lyrics and the intention flowing beneath the beat. Every song is an expression of her truest self in the moment she’s written and recorded it. Already, Riley can see the next stretch of path before her: It’s groovier terrain, influenced by the sensuality of ‘70s R&B and, fittingly, the golden age of soul.
