Twin Complex is a Manchester-based electronic artist. As a producer, he weaves between propulsive techno, cinematic soundscapes, and trance-infected IDM with a tactful balance of surefire technicality and considered nuance. His latest single, Reyka, is an evocative turn from the producer. The track deftly combines emotively-charged musicality with precision-engineered club functionality. Its sweeping atmospherics and striding melodies bring to mind the explorative IDM of Jon Hopkins, while its propulsive UK techno rhythm and intricate beats recall the work of BICEP. The release is part of an ongoing multi-media project, a gradual campaign that will encompass further singles, intertwining analog techniques with generative AI, and a series of music videos that build on his background in filmmaking.
