Taja was born in Birmingham City UK. The West Midlands Rapper began ''spitting bars'' at primary school age, with a keen interest in poetry and Music and was labelled gifted and talented for Music and Creative writing. The rapper grew up around Jungle, Garage, Indian classical and R&B. Taja is an abstract artist, drawing inspiration from Cartoons, nature, and Sci-Fi. The philosophical M.C aims to push the boundaries of Rap, by experimenting with different genres, time signatures and character. The homegrown M.C featured on KA Drinks studio sessions Birmingham in sponsorship with GRM Daily. The artist has performed at prestigious venues with Orchestras at Symphony Hall and featured on Word on road TV in 2011. The UK M.C performed at the 'Voice Against Crime' campaign event to encourage the youth to prosper. Taja has worked as a Rap tutor at her secondary school in Walsall, UK, to help nurture musical talent and continue inspiring the youth through Rap and Education at the very same place her journey began.
