Ethan Woods (he/him, b. 1989, Asheville, North Carolina) is an American songwriter and composer living in Brooklyn, New York. His music is centered on the voice, often his own. From this focal point, he sprawls out musical landscapes like an audio collagist, creating strange patchwork quilts of recordings of varying fidelities and sources. Even at his most alien, Ethan nonetheless wears his pop sensibilities on his sleeve, the sturdy boat in the undulating sea of his experiments. His infectious melodies and enthusiastic voice invite listeners to joyously explore whatever sonic textures he sails them towards. Ethan co-leads the psychedelic rock band Fun Facts (with Suzie Kim, Matt Evans and Mike Powers) and the electronic pop duos Hyperion Drive (with Alice TM) and Landauer (with Dan Miller).
