Born in Rome, but currently based in the Italian capital of Fashion and Design, Milan, Isabella (aka Matisa) has been plugging away at her sound, formulating her signature energy that is bright, bubbling and emotional. Since her debut EP on Optimo Music in 2019, Matisa has consistently released music on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Biologic Records, Dischi Autunno, Butter Sessions, On Loop and Steel City Dance Discs. Last year was Matisas most successful to date with the release of Tongue EP on Peggy Gou’s GUDU Records and Cuddle EP on SOS Records, remixes on Gerd Janson’s Running Back and Catz ‘n Dogz label Pets Recordings. Her latest release and the first of 2024 is the emotionally charged Baby Disco EP on Jennifer Cardini’s label Correspondant with remixes from Chloe Robinson + DJ ADHD and Aldonna. Gaining support from Skepta’s Mas Tiempo, Ben UFO, Jennifer Cardini, Gerd Janson, Peach, Nicola Cruz, Mall Grab, Shanti Celeste, Sally C, Midland, Carista, Moxie, Eris Drew and Peggy Gou amongst many others, is all testament to her infectious energy.
