Percussionist — Composer — Producer Dan Moore explores the many creative and expressive capabilities of percussion, making music with inspiring performers throughout the world in an array of diverse musical settings. As a vibes, marimba, and percussion artist, he has appeared on more than 30 professional recordings from jazz to contemporary and steel band to percussion groups. In 1986, he and Nashville percussionist/steel pan artist Mat Britain formed the first touring steel pan/marimba duo. Music of the Britain Moore Duo is heard and performed throughout the world. They continue to perform and record as a duo making them one of the longest running percussion duos still working today. Along the way, they’ve influenced a generation of percussionists who’ve performed their music and imitated their unique style. Dan traverses the world's rich musical landscape alongside composers such as Robert Moran and Paul Elwood as well as with icons of jazz and contemporary music.
