Raised by his mother in Enfield, North London, Bdiz (born Bryan Carvalho in 2000) started rapping as a hobby in his early years as a kid, before taking his career to a higher level with his debut single “Outside” which was released in the year 2021. It's a path that would continue to cast shadows on his career. After a flurry of increasingly strong singles(most notably 2021’s Trapper x Gangsta single), Carvalho started making a name for himself with his music gaining thousands of views, only to be derailed by further arrests. He bounced back later in the year with a string of similarly titled singles (Trenches) that continued to expand his sound, with no collaborations. Aggressive but soulful, Carvalho’s music feels like a natural step in the evolution of North London hip-hop. Carvalho described the pressure he felt to succeed-for his family and for himself especially after his mother’s passing which impacted his life heavily to strive and reach high heights which he believes to be almost the impossible.
