Born in the UK and based in Beirut, William Mahfoud aka Rise 1969 has been a staple of his local rave communities, drawing influences from the punk, techno, drum and bass, and experimental scenes, and with almost a decade of professional experience in sound, two LPs, numerous club residencies and bi-continental performances and appearances at the likes of Electrowerkz and The Ministry of Sound in London. 2019 culminated in Mahfoud topping the Beirut-Berlin Express music competition and traveling to Berlin for a four week residency at Blackhead studios, working under the mentorship of Moodmusic label and studio head Sasse, where his upcoming LP "Black Eye" was born.
