Deanna Judeh, better known as “Jaded,” was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. Being raised by an American mother and a Jordanian father greatly influenced how she developed her love for music. The majority of her mom’s side of the family grew up with a musical background so Jaded naturally followed suit. Her grandmother taught her how to play the piano at the age of 10, and by 11 she was playing the saxophone. Jaded was introduced to Arabic music through her dad and was intrigued by the hypnotic, siren-like vocals. Although she doesn’t speak Arabic, she loves the sound and gravitates towards it sonically.
