Jon Ong is a Singaporean composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles with over 12 years of experience in film, TV, and commercials. Most recently, Jon served as the composer of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival selection Border Hopper. A Sundance regular, he was also the composer for The Accidental Getaway Driver that won Best Director (Dramatic) at Sundance 2023. He has created additional music for films such as Paddington; Love The Coopers; Whiskey Tango Foxtrot; Chain; 17 Blocks; as well as TV series such as Hulu's Dopesick; Amazon's The Wheel of Time; Netflix's Life On Our Planet (Soundtrack from the Netflix Series); Peacock's Joe vs. Carole; and HBO's Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler - Season 3 (Soundtrack from the HBO® Max Original Series) and His Dark Materials. Beyond film and TV, Jon has also composed music for national commercials such as McDonald's The Hamburglar and Nickelodeon's digital series Chase Champion. Jon has also conducted the orchestra at the Game Awards 2021, stepping in for Lorne Balfe for the Game of the Year Medley.
