Using piano, classical strings, toys, custom and early electronic instruments, such as the theremin, Manos Milonakis presents a unique and timeless musical storytelling in the fast growing modern classical world. His work has been accompanying silent films (Thessaloniki International Film Festival - 2007), fashion shows (Oscar De La Renta - New York, 2018), dance-theatre plays (Gilbero Gonzalez Guerra - Mexico City 2020), theatrical productions (National Theatre of N.Greece - 2014-2021) and documentaries (Shawna M. Tavsky - Biennale di Venezia 2021). Although his music falls between the classical crossover & melodic ambient genres, Manos never stopped exploring and expanding his vision, through travelling and collaborating live and in studio with local musicians and composers (Reykjavik 2014 for "Sólfar EP", Copenhagen 2017 for “The Seagull”). Following an inspiring debut of cinematic folk works with the live-looping duet "Your Hand in Mine", his solo albums have received support from the likes of Headphone Commute, BBC Radio 6, KEXP and have appeared in numerous year-in reviews and acclaimed top lists for instrumental music. During the last couple of years, Manos has been releasing some of his scores for the theatre: (Festen, Moderna Records, 2017 / The Seagull, Piano & Coffee Records 2020), while he is keen on performing them live at selected places and occasions. Manos is also an architect, running his own architecture/design studio based in Thessaloniki.
