Icarus is an electronic artist and filmmaker hailing from Stockholm, Sweden. His sound consists of a blend containing soulful nu-disco and retro electro together with catchy pop vocals. In 2017, Icarus first single Be Somebody found unexpected support from the anonymous forum 4chan. The following music videos animated in pixel art for Machine Heart and Every City We Reach Is Dead got Reddit's attention resulting in heavy rotation over Youtube. During the last half of 2019, Icarus saw significant success through licensing and YouTube, amounting to millions of views in video features. His single Lonely Earth was recently selected as YouTube influencer Barış Özcan's favorite song of 2019, resulting in the song going viral through Shazam. His songs have been featured in everything from hundreds of Youtube Videos to Xbox commercials. At the beginning of 2020, Icarus teamed up with Austin-based powerhouse Primo the Alien to create an exciting, genre-bending single, Vapor Memories The song was paired together with an aesthetically pleasing music video taking place in various industrial locations in Stockholm. At the end of November 2021, he released his debut album "Dancing In The Dark" which to date has accumulated over 1 000 000 streams. Currently, Icarus and Quelle T are working together on a new album which will contain 10 new songs and is estimated to be released in 2024.
