Since the beginning, Justin Smith-Williams has been one with the music. Here we are in 2020 and over the course of the last couple years Justin Smith-Williams has done close to everything in and out of the studio. To start, the Motown artist released his debut album “Love Extravagant” an album built from the ground up with live instrumentation after original setbacks more or less forced Justin Smith-Williams to create the album with his own sounds and on his own terms. “It had to reflect all the music that impacted me as a kid and the music I grew up loving.” Smith-Williams says of “Love Extravagant”. The album is an eclectic mix of hip-hop, gospel, funk, jazz and other sounds to make the album nothing short of a prolific and historic experience. Features from Izreal, HB and others showing the breadth of sound and reach he’s had over his tenure. It doesn’t end here though, as the collaborations with Izreal helped get Justin into a new realm of performing on stage with hip-hop acts including SXSW. On top of this Smith-Williams has released everything from multiple covers, Christmas tracks and everything in between. As we approach the halfway point of 2020, Justin Smith-Williams is getting set to release his sophomore album “Just Keep Playing” later this summer.
