Eli.P is one of those creative individuals who inhabit scenes and subcultures, seemingly on the peripheries, while making solid contributions to an artform for which they have had a life-long passion. The UK beatmaker, producer and sound engineer, has been immersed in music ever since his early days, thanks to his mother’s influence. She introduced him to a whole new world, which he dutifully set about exploring and soon found a wealth of inspiration. And there was a practical side too, as Eli was playing piano and flute by the age of six. That early love continued to blossom and gain strength, culminating in Eli embarking on his own musical career. He began creating dub-influenced atmospheric sounds, with psychedelic undertones. Music with substance that takes you on a journey. The mission statement was simple: make music he wants you to enjoy. His first official solo release was back in 2012, with the Homework LP, which served as an introduction to Eli’s eclectic sound. A hiatus followed, until the release of his Opals LP in 2019. The proceeds from the release went towards helping the family of TFL worker, Belly Mujinga, who sadly passed away during the pandemic. Since then Eli has gone on to release the Jewel Master album in 2021, and most recently his Fantastic Voyage LP in 2023.
