“Kassiel honed a transfixing sound that hypnotizes and confounds with sonic waves" XLR8R Federico Bisozzi (May 1985) is an Italian composer/multi-instrumentalist who works in an acoustic and electronic environment. He has been strongly influenced, since an early age, by the harmonic alchemy of Claude Debussy, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Erik Satie and he spent his teens embracing electronic music, fascinated by the early 2000 scene (Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Fennesz). Always on the border between these two worlds he took his firsts steps in composition on piano and guitar inspired by discovering his family's record collection (Bernard Herman, Henry Mancini, Ennio Morricone) and experimentating with noise and sounds on laptop/synthesizer. He began his career creating soundtracks for web series/television (Mtv, Rai, Arte) and throughout the years he has composed scores for international commercials and films. In 2019, under the moniker Kassiel, he released his first self-titled "Kassiel EP" (White Forest records), an electronic downtempo cinematic journey born from the collaboration with Andrea Normanno. In the same year he also composed music for several documentaries including “Eva” for Rai and “The Green Gold of Africa” with Davide Tomat. “Eva” O.S.T. is available for Cinevox records and “Pastrone!” O.S.T. made with Tomat will be out on May 8th on the Berlin-based 7K! records.
