Mindsettings – Title and creative process of Noah Studer’s new album Synthetic elements and experimental soundscapes come together with the beats and melodies of Noah. During almost two years, the young drummer was searching for all sorts of sound and groove varieties, which he now shows the world in his album Mindsettings. It is his first statement as a drummer, artist and explorer of sounds. Noah manages to create a musical language distinctly his own, thus creating a fascinating and interesting overall experience for the listener. Part of this experience are also the numerous features, Noah integrated into this album. Every guest artist draws the music in another direction and brings out new colours. Different minds meet in different settings. This concept was the essential thought of the entire process of formation since the beginning of the project. The result is a refreshing combination of ideas of young artists, arranged around Noah’s compositional and tonal centre. Currently, Noah is studying jazz-drums at the University of Lucerne in Switzerland. In Addition to his solo project Mindsettings, he is also part of various combos, playing all sorts of music. The common ground of all his art is the search for new soundscapes and concepts, that need to be explored. During the last summer, Noah recorded the first album of his duo Ich und mein Kompiuter, which will be released later this year.
