Kimchi Sawce is a music producer specialized in sample heavy hip-hop beats. His introduction to music started early, in the South of France, learning the drums and music theory. The French producer developed a sophisticated ear thanks to his father 's eclectic taste in music (Chico Buarque, Zappa, Nina Simone, etc.) In the early 2000s, while his neighborhood was deeply into French rap, XZibit 's Restless and Snoop Dogg 's Doggystyle were Kimchi's first hip-hop albums ever. At the age of 16 played drums for several bands. He organized his first concert on top of a Pizza kiosk in his hometown - Nice, France. While making a name for himself in West-End nightlife at 21, he was introduced to Logic Pro 9 and was rapping on his best friend's productions. At 23, he started producing and released his first rap album with East London rappers, under a different name. At 28, the French producer had built a successful career in the European nightlife when his girlfriend convinced him to move NYC. He then switched career and built a name for himself in the Hip-Hop scene. Since then, Kimchi worked with artists like Blass 89, Donnie Durag, Chubs, etc. While paying homage to NYC's sound, he created his own lane using melodic sample chops: NY hip-hop with a French Twist . Kimchi also worked for artists like Snoop Dogg, Boldy James, Drizzy Wright and brands like Jagermeister and Redbull. Kimchi mostly works in person with artists he loves and looks up to.
