FREDDY (Further Reiterating Everyday Difficulties of Dilated Youth) is an acronym that fell into place when expressing what the Ottawa-based lyricist set out to accomplish within the burgeoning Canadian Hip Hop scene. His raspy, gritty and distinguishable voice set the canvas for intricate word play with immaculate cadence. Canadian media outlet CAPCITY HIP HOP covered Printz’s Summer 2022 effort, “The Candidate'', which amassed over 200,000 streams on digital streaming platforms. Another notable Canadian media outlet, SHIFTER MAGAZINE has also raved about the emcee saying, “Printz has built a reputation for himself with his timeless delivery and bars which transport listening back to the Golden Era of Hip Hop” Freddy Printz has shared stages with top tier lyricists like Pusha T and with a diverse live show incorporating R&B elements, able to open for Canadian talents such as Pvrx. In October 2022 and May of 2023, Printz was selected to perform at New Skool Rules Music Festival held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Here, he shot the official music video for his first single, “My World” off of his upcoming EP, “Still in Rotation”, set to be released in Spring of 2024. As his career enters a new phase, the hometown hero continues to be a breath of fresh air for hip hop purists and a voice for those who stay under the radar by choice or by circumstance.
