This Is Falling is a rock band from St. Louis, Missouri whose releases range from hard rock to metalcore to synthwave and a bit in between. The band is made up of five members - Mikey Kunstel (vocals), Isaac Etter (vocals/bass), Brett Ortwerth (guitar), Sean Dothager (guitar), and TJ Younger (drums) - and prides itself on its DIY nature self-producing most all aspect of its releases from music to art to video. TIF has released two 7-song EPs, We Built This On Our Own in March 2013 and Reprise in July 2020 after a 7 year hiatus, and a 13-song full-length TIFwave in April 2023. Along the way, they have released several music videos, namely for Whisper, Spit It Out, and MANGO, to accompany the releases, as well as independently produced and released a 1980’s horror/slasher-themed single and short film Straight Shot for Halloween 2020. Additionally, the band collaborated on a mango blonde ale with local St. Louis brewery Alpha Brewing Company. 2024 is the next chapter of This Is Falling…
