Sauls

Biography

Daniel Sauls, from Wilson North Carolina is a Singer/Songwriter/Performer/Musician/Composer/Producer. He’s been compared to artists such as Seal, John Legend, Jaheim, Jamie Fox, Tyrese Luther Vandross, Tyrone Davis etc. Fans, friends, and listeners say that his voice doesn’t match his face, but definitely matches perfectly with his soul. His musical influences include Hall and Oates, The Doobie Brothers, Billy Ocean, Barry White, Al Green, Sam Cook, Robert Cray, or newer artists such as Andre 3000, Cee-Lo Green, John Mayer and many more. Growing up in a very musical family, he played in a family cover band called TLS (70s -2000s) since the age of 15. (Brother-Joshua Sauls on piano, Uncle-Terry Bonner on Guitar, and Father-Larry Sauls on Bass) Started playing music at age 4 (Drums). “I hope to make music that feels good. The music I heard when i was young changed my mood because of its emotional power and how easily relatable it was. Even at a young age R&B and Soul music was what I wanted to have some part in making for the rest of my life. I want my music to pull others in so much they can’t get tired of it. Then I will feel as though I made my father proud, and have done those before me some justice.” Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Best R&B Album of the Year - Maryanne Ito - Waking Up (Production With Jerry Wilkins under Astatine Collective)
