Federico Longo is a composer and a pianist as well as a conductor. His career as a pianist performing his own musical compositions is intense. This concert activity has offered him the opportunity of performing in important Halls such as the Auditorium “Parco della Musica” (Music Park) in Rome and the ’Auditorium “Giovanni Arvedi” at the Museo del Violino (Violin Museum) in Cremona. He has also carried through two tours in the USA. In June 2020, after ”La vena giusta del cristallo” (2013), “L’arte del volo” (2015) e “Concatenation”(2018) he has composed his new album “Notte di Luce” for Orchestra and piano, clarinet and violin solos. This album was enterly recorded in Cremona and was played live and shown on Rai1 in august 2020. As a conductor his debut at the Berlin Philharmonie Hall and at the Sydney Opera House marked the beginning of his international career. Federico Longo was born in Rome where he has studied Piano and Composition with Robert W. Mann. He obtained a diploma in Orchestral Conducting at the Pescara Musical Academy and the Wiener Meisterkurse diploma at the Vienna Hochschule für Musik. From 1997 to 2000 he continued his studies at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena where hi was awarded several scholarships and the most prestigious “Diploma d’Onore”. In 2009 the president of Italy awarded Longo the prestigious title of Cavaliere Ordine al merito della Repubblica italiana (Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic).
