Resist The Ocean is a metal band from Nuremberg, Germany, formed in 2012. The five-piece band blends different influences from metalcore, melodic hardcore and pop punk into their musical style, which merged to a unique melodic style through the years. The songs are defined by their catchy guitar riffs with impulsive melodies, overflowing and at times polyphonic solos and a sprinkle of acoustic guitars or 80s synths. In 2014 their self-produced debut Weather the Storm was released. In April 2016 the band played the Rockavaria Festivals in Munich and shared stage with legends such as Iron Maiden, Slayer, Anthrax und Suicidal Tendencies. Afterwards, their first full length LP “Heart of the Oak” was released in 2017, which was highly praised by the specialist press and established their standing in the underground scene. A video for the title track by the same name was produced in St. Petersburg with metal legend Udo Dirkschneider. Known for their explosive and dynamic live shows, they toured in Germany, Czech Republic and Switzerland leading to a consistent growth of their fanbase. By the end of 2019 the band decided to work on their second album. In Death We Are equal is set to release on the 30th of September 2022, a video and the single “Visions” have already been released on YouTube and Spotify.
