Raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Enoch Lenoir began his stint with music by joining a Greensboro hip hop collective called Music From Scratch, at the age of 14. After many changes to his alias -- Jay Eldridge, B. Luke, amongst others -- and changes to the collective he found membership in, Enoch started Goat City with fellow performer and engineer Nasir Ali, producer Sensei7, and media team Ignore. While the collective releases music -- most recently The Dharma Tape, Vol. 2 -- Enoch still releases music as a solo effort. He began his solo career with #Unapologetic, and followed it up with a string of EP’s in 2019. Starting with Them First, the Carolina artist also released Nabi and Correctional Captivity with Nasir Ali to build a following. He also released a series of instrumental tapes, showing his range of production. May’s Summer Sonnet: An Instrumental Tape extended Enoch’s audience and the following showed that there was no slowing down for this artist and the collective.
