Made in Los Angeles, California singer songwriter and musician Nakina Teartt began her musical journey. Being raised by her grandmother alongside her brothers. She found her start incessantly at the age 3, she sang so well that at the age of 10 she was put in the adult choir at church. She was introduced to her second love musicianship, where she began playing the violin all through elementary school and middle school followed by alto saxophone in high school, where she became the drum major, being taught to read music and conduct the entire band. While competing for her school as drum major she won the Drum Majors of Southern California (DMSC) conducting competition consecutively for 2 years. (2015-2016) After graduating high school, Nakina decided to further invest in singing and musicianship, by singing and writing her own songs. Nakina credits her musical influence to Beyonce for her grace and elegant singing. Nakina’s voice has been compared to modern R&B artists of today because of the amazing clarity & range. She wrote and recorded for “Signature Tracks,” a company ran by grammy nominated producer Russell W Howard, who composes music for tv and film for tv networks E, Bravo, and VH1. Nakina’s music is filled with infectious hooks that draw audiences in, while exciting them with a R&B pop blend with a hint of playful funk. In 2019 Nakina signed to record label Timeless Music as she readies her debut single "What U Got" and debut EP “Actions Speak..”
