Biography

Thanos Petrelis was born in September 27th 1975. He was introduced to the public through the first season of the hit TV show “Fame Story” in 2002. There, he impressed both judges and the audience with his emotional and rich vocals, and won a contract with Heaven music. Following the end of the show he released his debut album "Eihe To Hroma T’ Ouranou". The album saw him collaborate with noted producer Phoebus, and included the hit single “To Aima Mou”. It quickly garnered commercial and critical acclaim going gold while Petrelis won the award for “Best New Artist” at the prestigious Arion Awards. The following year brought his sophomore studio effort "Thymizeis Kati Apo Ellada", another collaboration with Phoebus, which went platinum. The album’s biggest hit "Kernao" won two awards in the Arion Awards, "Best Laiko Song" and "Best Song of the Year". In 2007 Thanos Petrelis went on his first world tour with sold-out concerts in the USA, Australia and South Africa while he also released a new album titled "Eimai Akomi Eleftheros". The album went gold and paved the way for a series of hit singles. A Greatest Hits and a Live album also followed in 2009 and in 2014 Thanos released his fourth studio album "Vitrina Esthimaton". Thanos Petrelis has kept a high-profile since, performing more than 100 concerts around the world, and in 2023 re-signed with Heaven Music, resulting in the summer hit “Katse Kala” which included a special appearance by his youngest daughter.
