JayMelloScorpio incorporates Hip Hop, Reggae, R&B, Rap, and Pop and has created his own self titled “Mello Music” genre. “Mello Music” is the brainchild of Jason Gamboa artist, performer, producer, songwriter extraordinaire who at sixteen dropped his first single “The Beach” after enormous feedback from the single he moved to Atlanta, GA and signed to 1 Lucky Juju. JayMelloScorpio born in Honduras and grew up in the Bronx, NY; has been listening to Hip Hop, Rap, Reggae R&B and Pop all his life; his artists influences are Biggie, Jay Z, Drake, Adventura, Rick Ross and DJ Khalid to name a few. The music playing in his household helped him escape and tune out the sound of gunshots in the neighborhood at night. He learned to play piano at an early age at the advice of his father who transitioned in 2006. He began to sing, finding expression in his feelings of loss. Singing led to songwriting, which led to producing and performing at the age of 16, he met J-Nizzy and recorded "The Beach" “When I was young I thought it was important to fit in, to be a “Blood” but advice from an OG changed my perspective, he said “Focus on Music”, that was the turning point so thankful for his advice I’m changed forever…” JayMelloScorpio will be performing and dropping his new EP and is on schedule for a Southeast tour with various artists in Fall 2019.
