Malachi, an all-embracing rapper/producer from Chicago whose music and lyrics are powerfully explosive and sincere. With a deep-rooted passion and dedication to music, his lyrical content narrates like an encyclopedia and delivers power with words! His music manifested through life’s trials & tribulations, faith & pray. Born into a large family with many siblings. His mother, a strong woman, raised her children single handily without their father, she was also a singer. Music was a healing tool for the family and part of their everyday life. Growing up in the projects, observing the harsh realities of street life also became part of their existence. With a strong connection with hip-hop and motivated by legends such as Tupac, Biggie and Rakim, his talent for rap began to emerge. Producing all his own tracks, his productions are strong & innovative, while his lyrics deliver life’s truths in a unique way straight from the heart. Using metaphors in his tracks earned him the name Malachi by a friend who appreciated his gift for writing, he also coined the name Streets Messenger. The producer formed a group “Mercenaries” which was formed with his brother K-ezzy and friends Killermanjaro, Jah-Rista and Endeavor.
