Growing up in a quiet suburb of Atlanta, GA, Aryd, real name Jonathan Deakins, took a liking to music at an early age. He was only a toddler when he discovered his love for the piano, and from then on the trajectory of his life was set. By the time he was in middle school, he had already amassed a portfolio of piano compositions, but he wanted more. He started tinkering with the production software Mixcraft and explored different ways of expressing musical ideas. As he entered high school he began to delve headlong into electronic dance music and spent countless hours learning how to replicate the insane and crazy synth sounds that dominated the EDM genre, and became a pro at dubstep, future bass, and electro-house production. During his teenage years, he began to widen his horizons by learning how to sing as well as play the guitar and bass and began to incorporate these elements into his music. He became an expert with the ins and outs of Ableton Live and tried out many different styles of music. Aryd's style is marked by lush electronic soundscapes blended with high-quality acoustic recordings that add depth and character to his sound. He is always willing to try new things and often revolutionizes the definition of what a genre should sound like. He is an expert at his craft and continues to outdo himself with every new release.
