Yakknae (born Yashua Robinson) is a Michigan based singer-songwriter and producer of Creole descent. He is widely known for his electric "Jerk" based production and for helping popularize the sound of "Kpop Pluggnb" on platforms like YouTube and Soundcloud. Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Destroy Lonely, Slowdive, my bloody valentine, Playboi Carti, Tyler, The Creator, Lil Uzi Vert, TAEYEON, PinkPantheress, & keshi, he originally gained prominence in early 2020 producing for artists such as Triple777 & XANAKIN SKYWOK, under the alias Lost Atsuki and producer Fidi. They collaborated on the 2020 release FURSHURE! He was also a former member and co-owner of the collective "Seoul Angels" and the producer collective "Subliminal Productions" and is closely tied to many artists in the Filipino based group "ABG Gang". He has also worked alongside artists such as datealyfe, wenszy, Blazedini, luvbanz, jequya, kuriyai, Alys, echi, and many other rising underground artists, which has helped him craft a unique and refreshing sound. His biggest hit zaza , (featuring Filipino artist nix) is a hyper paced-ambient track, sampling the iconic Deftones song Sextape. His latest LP yaksworld is a collabrative project with producer/singer-songwriter kuriyai. The album features fast paced "Jerk" production produced by Kuriyai and Yakknae which samples many iconic 90s K-pop tracks from groups such as Baby V.O.X and S.E.S..
