A legend in his community, Chosko has been a fixture of Midwest hip-hop for over a decade. The Minneapolis based rapper has consistently stayed true to his roots, pursuing an honest, authentic style instead of chasing trends. Since breaking through with his 2009 debut ‘No PON Intended,’ he has been constantly evolving as an artist. His 2020 singles have been amongst the strongest of his career, the culmination of a life devoted to hip-hop. Chosko, AKA Poncho, grew up in Chicago Heights just outside the city. His family later moved to Minnesota, where his talent first started to truly show. Following a series of successful performances as a high school student, he became a member of 3rd World/GlobeGang, who quickly became regional heroes. This era set the stage for Chosko’s emergence as a solo artist. As he grew older, Chosko began to prioritize spending time with his family and raising his children, but music was never far from his mind.
