Edjane Pinheiro also known as Janey Mares is an Angolan Singer/Songwriter from Cape Town who first entered the music Industry at the age of 16 after she recorded her first single 'Acabou' with Bro's Sound Production. She was heavily inspired by her mother, who was the soloist in the choir to which her father was Maestro and was blessed with the same gift that they both possessed. She grew up listening to the likes of India Arie, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carrey, Boys 2 Men, Brandy,Celine Dion, Rihanna, SIA, and many more Having concluded that music was her true passion, she pursued a career in it and has since worked at Question Music as a full-time Session Vocalist. Her EP Titled Hira, recorded in the year 2018 was released in the year 2023 and is titled after both her children to whom she dedicated her time and attention in the gap years she took before hopping back into the industry with the release of her Single titled 'Nunca Pensei'.
