Born and raised in Hong Kong, FUNG YAT SHAN (LINUS) is a Hong Kong-based clarinettist who actively gives classical, contemporary and improvisatory musical performances. Linus is the clarinettist of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble (HKNME), Wuji Ensemble, Freespace Ensemble, LENK Quartet, Viva Pipers and The TimeCrafters. Linus studied BA music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong under the tutorship of Martin Choy. He then further studied clarinet performance at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutorship of John Bradbury, Lynsey Marsh and Nicholas Cox.
