DJ Haram is a touring producer and DJ based in Brooklyn, NY. She makes up half of ‘700 Bliss,’ an experimental rap project with Moor Mother, the two recently released a full length ‘Nothing to Declare' (hyperdub, 2022). Stylistically versatile, Haram is known equally for her danceable club centered sets, analogue sound design, electronic-folk middle eastern production, and abrasive live hip hop/noise experimentation. DJ Haram curated ‘Rage Radio’ monthly on Rinse FM London for 5 years and recently started ‘Monday Night Raw’ monthly at Brooklyn staple the Lot Radio. In 2022 Haram debuted ‘Overdrive,’ a mix series of original production and eclectic dj selection on Apple Music. Internationally, she has played on noteworthy stages like Dekmantel, Unsound, Roskilde, Le Guess Who?, Sonar, Bonnaroo, Panorama and has toured from Tokyo to Cairo. DJ Haram has released 3 solo EPs including Grace (Hyperdub, 2019) and the self-released Mixed Berries (2019) and Era (2021).
