NAME: SHATTA RAKO aka KOJO LEGEND Undoubtedly a name that cannot be ruled out in the annals of Ghanaian music and with prior focus on Dancehall and Reggae The BASS Awards 2016, Song Writer of The Year Winner, Rexford Kojo Amoah; Shatta Rako aka Kojo Legend as known by his stage name was born to Mr Justice Charles Amoah and Ms. Mercy Mensah on 12th November 1979. Identifying his interest in music at a tender age as a chorister, the dream to pursue music gained much prominence over everything else in Adisadel College where he represented his class during most indoor and outdoor events. He was then convinced to join the Adisadel College School Choir where he polished his singing skill with finesse till he Left in 1997. Although playing along songs of other artists, the real zeal to record his first professional song was in 2005 after his return from the UK. The first single titled Nfoni was an instant hit song as his unique style of singing interspersed with a vocal credence could easily make him out. He then gained recognition as the only artiste doing original dancehall in Ghana at the time after Veterans like Root Eye, Yoggi Doggy and Sonni Balli. “NFONI” “REDEFINED” “KLASSIK REMIXES” and the “PREFACE EP” are the four solid albums Shatta Rako aka Kojo Legend has to is credit amongs hit singles “RUDEBOUY LUV”, “GYAL INA MI DP”, “TEKOVER, MAKEMONEY” “ROLL CALL” “HELLO”
